Where Did All of This Stuff Come From?
Have you looked around lately? Have you noticed that the world full of “stuff” ? I don’t mean stuff like cars, TV’s, and Lamps. I means stuff like rocks, trees, insects, animals and people. Where did all of this sort of “stuff” come from?
The world is full of theories about where “stuff” comes from. “The History Channel,” for example, is not at all shy about saying that this “stuff” just made itself. Bible believers, however, believe something else. We believe that there is a God, and that God has told us where all this “Stuff” came from.
T.V. has me beat when it comes to visuals. They present their theories of where all this “stuff” came from with amazing, computer created, visuals. I don’t have any photos. I don’t have any videos. I just believe the Bible, and in the Bible we read this:
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3
How Long Has All This Stuff Been Here?
Some of this “stuff” looks like it has been around for a long time. Take The Grand Canyon, for example. That is one amazing ditch; and it sure looks like it has been there a very long time. Some people believe that it was created over hundreds of thousands of years of erosion. It may very well be very old, but believing, as I do, that God made it, I know that He could have done it in “nothing flat” using His little finger. Or, as the Bible says by simply saying “Canyon Be”
Are Any of These Things Related?
I mean really related. Are we “kin-folk” with with all of this “stuff” that we see around us?
I understand that human DNA, is very similar to that of the chimpanzee. Some argue that this is proof that we sprang from Chimps. I can see that chimps look a great deal like humans. I can even understand why our DNA is similar, but that doesn’t make us related, it simply means that we both sprang from the same Creator.
Like to learn more about God and His work among us? I suggest that you read the New Testament book of John. God begins the book of John by telling us that all things were made by Him.
Is It Important To Know That We Were Created rather than evolved?
Yes indeed. If we are the product of evolution or random chance then it doesn’t much matter what we do. If, however, we are the product of God’s Creation then there is a purpose for our being here.
Wouldn’t it be great to know that God made you and has a purpose for your life? Well, it is true:
“ … we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
